There is a train that goes from long island to new york city and it makes a lot stops in between there. There is a set of big eyes that looks at a town of Ash. Tom And Nick are on the train because tom wants nick to meet his girlfriend, who is married. They stop at this ashland place and go get Myrtle. While they are there they run into her husband who seems to be clueless. The three of them then get back onto the train and head to new york city he takes them to an apartment where they drank. the McKee family even joined them. Nick tells them that this is only the second time that he has been drunk. Tom ended up breaking her nose because she was talking about his wife and he asked her not to.
Tom and myrtle seem to be trying to live a better life than what they have. They are both married but yet they are having an affiar. The affair is somewhat open. It seems like Myrtle isn't exactly happy with her husband or its just cause he is clueless
Question: Wouldn't myrtle's husband figure it out that something was going beings they have done stuff more than once?
